Condensate and flash steam together contain approximately 20% of the heat energy present in the steam and hence, recovering condensate improves the efficiency of the overall steam system. In many process applications, valuable condensate is drained due to the fear of contamination.

Condensate Contamination Detection System is a conductivity and pH based system from Forbes Marshall which helps recover maximum possible heat from the process where chances of contamination exist. The Condensate Contamination Detection System monitors the conductivity and pH of condensate being returned to the boiler and diverts the contaminated condensate to the drain after recovering heat it possess through a plate heat exchanger.
