Vocational courses at Chakan

In the month of October 2013, women from Savardari completed a three month’s vocational course at Chakan. The course was organised in association with "Yuva Parivartan" of the Kherwadi Youth Welfare Association.

The villagers identified and made space available for conducting the course free of cost. In going ahead with our philosophy, women paid only a part of the fees for the course, while the rest was paid by us.

Rati Forbes, Director Forbes Marshall, graced the function of felicitating 30 ladies who have completed three months course in basic tailoring and basic beautician. The felicitation was attended by the Sarpanch and deputy Sarpanch of the Chakan village.

The course was well appreciated by the stakeholders. They expressed that this was first of its kind course they had completed.
